Geoff brings to WP Financial Planners a wealth of experience in taxation, superannuation and financial planning, having worked at senior levels in the Taxation Office for 15 years, Chartered Accounting for 7 years and Corporate Superannuation for 2 years before joining Western Pacific in 1996.

With his accounting background he appreciates the importance of cashflow and budgeting as a first step in the journey to creating wealth and can guide you in how best to go about this.

He has clear insight into creating tax efficient structures to maximise cashflow for investment and lifestyle purposes.  His extensive experience of superannuation funds of all types ensures he can provide the right advice for your circumstances. As part of protection of your assets and carrying out your wishes for family members he can provide clear advice in Estate Planning.

He has undertaken extra study in the complex and ever-changing area of Aged Care and will be able to provide financial scenarios for you to determine the best way to structure a loved one moving into an aged care facility.

Geoff’s investment approach seeks to maximise returns in the long term by minimising losses and costs through diversification and keeping fees relatively low. He relies upon empirical data and academic research that identifies what produces premium returns in the market. The importance of having a plan based on risk tolerance and sticking to it adds to peace of mind in investing.

Aldis joined Western Pacific in April 1994, after 3 years as BDM with Securitor Financial Group, overseeing the activities of more than 50 Financial Planners.

Prior to joining Securitor, Aldis gained financial planning experience with Tricentac and Qplan. 


Aldis specialises in the provision of financial advice for clients who wish to get their financial house in order. He assists them to become financially organised, seek to accumulate wealth and plan for retirement. His approach is to ensure that clients are properly structured, excels in the formulation of strategies, and coaches clients to achieve their financial and lifestyle objectives.


Aldis is actively involved in his local church, is a public speaker and qualified critic in Rostrum, and enjoys a variety of sports, especially tennis where he manages to maintain a national ranking in Seniors tennis. Aldis is married to Debra and they have five adult children between them: Jordan, Brittany, Astrid, Natasha and Larissa.

Khiam Ooi

Khiam has been a financial planner since 2002 and has been with Western Pacific since 2007. Prior to joining Western Pacific, he worked for Westpac and ANZ as a financial planner in Priority Banking and Business Banking dealing with high net worth and small business clients, and also with “mums and dads” as a branch financial planner.


​He has 20 years’ experience in mining and the oil and gas industry where he has held positions as a geologist/petrophysicist/operations manager for various international, Australian and Malaysian organizations.


​Khiam was originally from Malaysia and has worked and lived in Malaysia, India, USA, UK, Singapore and has travelled extensively in Europe, the Middle East and even Afghanistan.

Our Support Team

Lucy Gallop

Lucy joined Western Pacific in June 1999, in the role of Administrative Paraplanner. Her roles encompass financial planning support to Aldis and Geoff, client services management and paraplanning.


Lucy started out her career with NAB where she worked for 10 years, in various customer service roles and one year as Client Services Officer with Asgard before joining Western Pacific. 


Lucy holds a Diploma of Financial Planning from Deakin University and has completed her studies towards attaining the standing of Certified Financial Planner (CFP). She is a member of the Financial Planning Association of Australia (FPA).


Lucy has a solid knowledge of the strategies that clients adopt to achieve their financial objectives.  She enjoys seeing clients on their journey to financial security, through the various stages of their financial lives.


Outside of work, Lucy enjoys a variety of sports, particularly golf and hockey.  Lucy used to play Gaelic football and represented Western Australia three times at the Australasian Gaelic Football Championships. Lucy is partnered to Kim and they have two daughters between them, Amii and Asha.

Chaya Kalidas

Chaya joined WP Financial Planners in June 2016 as Client Services Administrator.  Chaya has extensive experience in office management and human resources administration.


Chaya holds a Diploma in Business Management.


Born in Auckland, New Zealand, Chaya moved to Australia nearly 16 years ago and has worked in various office roles in Melbourne and Perth including Human Resources Administrator, Office Administrator and Marketing Assistant.  Chaya previously worked for BHP Nickel West as a Human Resources Administrator dealing with payroll, contracts and enquiries for all employees.


Chaya enjoys interacting with clients and having a chat about the various stages of their financial journey.


Chaya is married to Raj and they have a very active 5-year-old that keeps her busy on the days she’s not in the office.


Outside of work, Chaya enjoys spending time with her family and friends and loves a good movie session.
